Project Muse

Go to my USF Tampa Library then click on categories on the right side. Then type in Project Muse. This is where you can look up scholarly journals online. The sections on the home page that you can go to are search, journals, about muse, and contact us. This is all done by the John Hopkins University Press. The general overview of Project Muse is that it has high quality journals for research libraries. Very prestigious journals of humanities, arts and social science writings are included that are economical for junior college and undergraduate studies. This database allows you to save citations and email them if you would like to. Here are two citations that I emailed to myself and them printed out. These have been listed as works cited in MLA for a library database.

Chevalier,Noel. “The Liberty Tree and the Whomping Willow: Political Justice, Magical Science.” The Lion and the Unicorn 29.3 (Sep. 2005). Project Muse. Tampa Lib., U of South Florida. 3 Feb 2006 http://muse.jhu.edu/journals/lion_and_the_unicorn/v029/29.3chevalier.html

Pennington,John. “From Elfland to Hogwarts, or the Aesthetic Trouble with Harry Potter.” The Lion and the Unicorn 26.1 (Jan. 2002). Project Muse. Tampa Lib., U of South Florida. 3 Feb 2006 http://muse.jhu.edu/journals/lion_and_the_unicorn/v026/26.1pennington.html
